This includes isopropyl alcohol (preferably 91% or higher), coarse salt, a sealable plastic bag, and some pipe cleaners or a brush. Make sure you have all these items on hand before you begin, to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.

Step 2: Disassemble A Bong with Care

Next, you’ll want to take apart your bong. Remove any movable parts like the bowl and stem, and place them in a sealable plastic bag. If your bong has any other removable parts, take those off as well. Be gentle to avoid any breakage.

Step 3: Choose Your Cleaning Solution(s)

Fill your bong with isopropyl alcohol or any other recommended cleaning solution, making sure to cover all the dirty areas. Add a generous amount of coarse salt — this will act as a scrubbing agent to help remove the stubborn grime and residue. For the smaller parts that you’ve placed in the plastic bag, pour in isopropyl alcohol and salt as well. Seal the bag and give it a good shake, making sure the solution gets into all the nooks and crannies.
